Mitis Amor, a poem by Evan

1–2 minutes
we havent met yet
but i think i fell for you over words and pictures on a screen and i lay awake at night imagining your fingers in my hair
and your lips on my neck i know you may not like me back and maybe this is more infatuation than love but after just one conversation i had stars in my eyes
and suddenly
all the love songs were about you

“Poet and muse. A slut for words. A siren of ink and paint. Guitar callouses, worn feet, broken needles, the smell of wildflowers, crooked smiles, stars in one’s eyes.”

“I am your worst enemy, dressed like a dream. I will bring out the best and worst in you and I will not stop you. I will make you smile and cry. Do not trust me. I hope you enjoy nightmares, dear reader. I will be the worst one yet.”
