Second chance, Second Loss, a Poem by Buddy

1–2 minutes
This bridge I thought we'd never cross
— We burnt it down to ashes
The night we parted ways
Breaking hearts, stifling breath -
Though your lingering shadow
Kept telling me to stir the embers
Of the once blazing fire
That I used to admire
In those shining eyes of hers
— But it was meant to blow
Like a long-awaited death
Counting down our days -
I believed in second chances
Until you became my second loss
